Abstract :
The algorithm of G2 blending NURBS curves based on adjustable parameters is realized. Firstly, before creating blending NURBS curves, tow basic curves´ parameters should be conformed by choosing blending function and thumb weight parameter which are fit for the parameterization of curves. Secondly, interpolation points on the blending curves should be calculated. Finally, referenced on the interpolation points and based on the continuous geometric properties of G2, the interna control points of the blending curves were revised. In this way, the computing process of the blending curves was simplified. And by adjusting balance factor and thumb weight parameter, curves with different curvature could be obtained if G2 is continuous.
