Abstract :
Aiming at the problem of Great computational cost in motion estimation, a fast search algorithm is proposed, which is with double crosses and directional diamonds, and based on the character distribution of motion vector. In the process of motion estimation, the character distribution of motion vector is considered and the research templates of double crosses and directional diamonds are used together with early termination. The experimental results in x264 show that the proposed search method can greatly reduced the time of motion estimation with the premises that both the Image quality and bit rate is close to Full Search method, so it is meaningful for real-time application.
