Abstract :
A controlling system based on programmable logical controller (PLC) was developed for controlling a knuckle-triangle type servo mechanical press. The hardware structure was analyzed. The way of punch trajectory planning was presented. The nonlinear kinematics mapping relation between the input crank and the output slide was built. Several typical punch trajectories were planned and tested. Satisfactory slide motions were obtained from the test results.
