Abstract
The authors show that crosspolar radiation of a phased dipole array in front of a finite reflector is produced by undesired orthogonal current components on the antenna structure. These currents can be reduced by substituting the metal reflector with parallel wires or by using rolled edges. In this way crosspolar attenuation can be improved over a broad frequency band
