Abstract :
A novel control scheme based on per-phase reference current calculation for hybrid series active power filter is proposed. By this control scheme, the voltage source inverter (VSI) delivers the harmonic power only, both in balanced and unbalanced conditions. So the required rating of the active filter can be much smaller than that of conventional one. A 2.4 KW prototype is implemented digitally by TMS320F2407A (DSP). The experimental results show that it is suitable for high power harmonic suppression.
