Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the problem of RAT selection in heterogeneous wireless networks. We propose an algorithm friendly distributed RAT selection framework named TP-PFF. The key innovative idea of our method is to split the RAT selection process into two phases: a pre-computation phase before the session arrives and the second phase after receiving the session request. The numerical simulation results show that the proposed mechanism realizes significant reduction of signaling load and accessing delay.
