Abstract :
A novel method for computing the field radiated by an aperture via expansion in new analytical wave-objects is presented. The electric field spectrum at the aperture plane is first represented by the Fourier series in the alpha-coordinate and then the obtained magnitudes of the Fourier harmonics are expressed in terms of complex exponentials obtained by the generalized pencil-of-function (GPOF) method. The starting radiation integral for each term then assumes a form that can be evaluated in closed form. The paper also discusses the sensitivity of the GPOF expansion.
