Abstract :
Tomo-SAR is an experimental "coherent data combination" mode allowing full 3-D imaging of complex urban and infrastructure scenarios with layover "garbled" scatterers, exploiting multibaseline interferometric SAR data. Also deformation motion monitoring in garbled scenarios is possible, with the more recent 4-D Diff-Tomo framework. However, Tomo-SAR is typically affected by problems of unsatisfactory height sidelobe behaviour and resolution, due to the low number and irregular sampling of baselines. In this context, multilook superresolution techniques posses interesting capabilities, at the cost of reduced horizontal resolution. In this work, the recently proposed knowledge based baseline interpolation and superresolution methods are integrated in a new Tomo-SAR processor offering height superresolution and sidelobe cleaning with single-look data, as important in urban areas. Results with real data are reported. Also, other advances are presented for Diff-Tomo processing, in the single-look operation context and tackling the non-uniform motion issue.
