Abstract :
In this paper, an offset fed single arm spiral antenna is investigated when it is placed over an AMC ground plane at a small distance of 0.02λo. The straight part is removed and the probe feed is located at the starting point of the spiral part. The axial ratios will be studied for different probe feed locations. The AMC ground plane consists of 4x4 square patch array with no vertical vias. The operating frequency is 4.5GHz.
