Abstract :
We present the first demonstration of athermal and tunable operations of VCSELs using a thermally actuated cantilever for compensating the temperature dependence of wavelength. The temperature dependence is as low as 0.002 nm/K and the wavelength tuning of 1 nm is obtained.
