Abstract :
Using data from NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis Project, we have comprehensively analyzed multi-parameters including air temperature, daily temperature range and surface latent heat flux (SLHF) changes before the 3 September 2010 New Zealand EQ. Multi-parameters thermal anomalies before New Zealand EQ were revealed as following: 1). Air temperature anomaly appeared on July. 30, 12-14 and 27 Aug.; 2) Daily temperature range anomaly appeared on 28-29 Jul; 3) SLHF anomaly has three stages: the first appeared during July. 31-Aug. 2, the second appeared on Aug. 8, and the third appeared on Sep. 2. Although the mechanism of these anomalies is not clear, we consider multi-parameters it should be a typical Lithosphere-Coversphere-Atmosphere coupling effect in a seismogenic process especially in the impending-earthquake process.
