Abstract :
This paper explored the dynamics of the wetland landscape patterns of Qinhuangdao city from 1993 to 2008 on the GIS platform and based on the TM / ETM remote sensing image data source. The results showed that, during the year of 1993 to 2008, the wetland area has reduced by nearly 263 km2, among which, paddy field area reduced of 216 km2, accounting for 82% of the total reducing. This showed that the wetlands of Qinhuangdao city is mainly consisting of artificial wetlands, and because of the changing climate and the pressure of the water resources, the paddy field disappeared, which is the main factor that deciding the wetland.
