Abstract
A new energy recovery sustain circuit for plasma display panel (PDP) is proposed. It features half the voltage stresses and half the reactive power compared to those of the conventional ones. Furthermore, since it does not show any circulating current, it features low current stresses. An experimental results of a practical 42 inch WGVA PDP driver employing the proposed circuit shows high performance, high-efficiency, and low EMI capability.
