Abstract :
The performance of a compact antenna diversity receiver for CDMA systems is investigated. A space-time RAKE receiver is used to provide fading reduction and interference suppression. Fading mitigation is characterized by a coefficient of variation in the received signal power. The fading reduction achieved by several array configurations (linear, planar, pyramidal) is compared for different time and angular spread of the channel. Finally experimental results are obtained and analyzed to illustrate the theoretical results
