Abstract
Due to the large success of wireless networks and handheld devices, the pervasive computing paradigm is becoming a reality. While little research and development effort have been made to provide process-oriented services, especially for individuals. The personal processes have many their own characteristics. In this paper, we describe a method of building process-oriented services to individual users. Users specify their preferences by inheriting existing process repository, building their own personal processes according to their own proposed requirements. These processes can help users in planning their activities while they are on the move. We have been designing a prototyped process-oriented services system based on the proposed method. Experiences with this implementation are provided.
