Abstract
A neural network based functional link equalizer structure, incorporating decision selection, for overcoming cochannel interference is proposed. The bit error rate performance of this new structure is evaluated by direct comparison with the decision feedback functional link equalizer (DFFLE). The new structure offers the proven capability of the decision feedback functional link equalizer with a significant reduction in computations per symbol
