Abstract
It is established that treatment of polyester film by LF discharge in the cathode fall region results in accumulation of negative charge on its surface. The correlation is found between the wettability contact angle and the surface charge density for all variety of treatment and storage conditions. Using the technique of thermally stimulated relaxation it was found that heating of the polyester film is followed by re-distribution of negative surface charge into the deeper layers of the film
