  • Abstract
Issues relating to public concern over exposure to power frequency electric and magnetic fields are surveyed. Influential health studies of residential and occupational exposures leading to this concern are mentioned. Standards are proposed, based on limiting induced currents to the level of natural body currents. These are much higher than levels of residential and most occupational exposures. Some measurement considerations for heavy power industries are discussed in regard to increasingly sophisticated power control circuits
