  • Abstract
    We present a model to estimate the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) for passive optical network (PON) technology. We begin by identifying the key components of the PON technology and from that a CAPEX model is obtained. We then present single and cascaded splitter schemes, and their influence on the CAPEX.
