Abstract :
Summary form only given. Polypyrrole is a typical conductive polymer stable in the air, which is advantageous when used in batteries and sensors. The purpose of this study is to clarify the electrode reaction at the boundary between a polypyrrole/platinum complex electrode and on electrolytic solution. Impedance measurements ranging from 1Hz to 100Hz were applied to a polypyrrole /platinum complex electrode immersed into an EtNBF/sub 4//(propylene carbonate) electrolyte solution system. It was shown that there are two different response regions: are between 1HZ and IkHz, and another between 1kHz and 100kHz. A cyclic voltammetry and an EPMA measurement should that the diffusion of the anions (BF/sub 4/sup -//) through polypyrrole film is attributed to the impedance response in the lower frequency region.
