Abstract

As a complex ecosystem of society, economy, resources and environment, small towns´ development with multiple complicated factors involved, urbanization and sustainable development are very important. In this paper, a coordination model was given to analyze the relationship of urbanization and sustainable development and verified through the demonstration on Hengdian town, a town of national sustainable development experimental units. The result of the example shows urbanization and sustainable development of Hengdian town is coordinated which is consistent with reality of Hengdian town, thereby demonstrating the validity of the model.
