Abstract :
A sharable WDM/TDM unidirectional ring network is proposed. The network architecture and protocol are illustrated. The equivalent point analysis (EPA) is used to obtain the network performance that is characterized by three measures throughput, delay, and blocking probability. The results show that the network throughput can reach unity although the number of wavelengths is small.
