Abstract
The Global Leadership of US Engineers (GLUE project) is intended to provide the US with capable, experienced engineers. Concepts of teaming, concurrent engineering, and the importance of productivity, quality, and profitability are taught. Engineering, mathematics, and science instruction with an emphasis on engineering applications, workshops, engineering projects, global product design and marketing, and long-range planning and project control are provided. It is shown why programs focused on basic science and math principles are insufficient, why engineering programs must begin in primary education, and why internationally/globally oriented projects and studies are necessary. An organization and execution plan for the GLUE project is outlined
