Abstract
Summary form only given. This work describes a three steps deposition of polyaniline on glass fabrics, leading to short time process. A parametric study has provided optimized conditions in order to obtain the best polymer quality from the point of view of conductivity level from either the polymer or the conductive fabric. Original calculations of thickness polyaniline deposition and intrinsic conductivity of the deposited polyanifine are given. After three depositions, the conductivity can reach 1.4 S.cm/sup -1/ and the intrinsic conductivity 20 S.cm/sup,-1/, the yield with respect to the monomer is 30% and the thickness of deposition is around 450nm. In a second part, thermal stability of conductive substrates obtained by the process described above is discussed. Aging experiments are performed with conductivity measurements. The results of this work are compared to those obtained on polypyrrole films deposited on substrate. The aging mechanism can´t be attributed to single diffusion process in the polymer but rather to oxydation mechanism.
