Title :
Squeak Festival - a Squeakers programming session like Camp Smalltalk
Abstract :
We held the first programming session for Squeak programmers on January 31/sup st/ 2003 in Japan. This session was modeled after "Camp Smalltalk" currently performed in the United States, Germany, etc. In Camp Smalltalk, programmers usually form small teams and develop useful programs/patches together in a rather short period (about one week). We were given a special booth in a corner of the C5 conference. Although we had only three hours for programming, we corrected some of the bugs in Squeak and extended a few classes. Moreover, there was a lecture for beginners who participated in the conference.
