Abstract
A Z-source inverter with a customized modified reference (sine) based pulse width modulation technique is proposed for energy conversion systems. In this system six reference waves and one carrier wave is used to generate switching pulses. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate that the Z-source inverter will boost the AC voltage whenever required, and perform minimum output distortion with maximum tracking and interface it with the renewable energy system. The control method is analysed with simulation and experimental results. Also the control method is implemented in DSC (TMS320F28335).
