Abstract :
In this paper, a method is proposed to reduce the equivalent series inductor (ESL) and equivalent series resistor (ESR) of capacitors. The method is theoretically analyzed at first; and then experiments are carried out to verify this method. It is shown that this method can be used for both film capacitors and electrolytic capacitors. Both ESL and ESR can be reduced. The proposed method can be very useful to reduce EMI, HF current ripple.
