Abstract :
In this work, we present a methodology to obtain scalable models for RF passive components, mainly focused in inductors. It is based on three heuristic model order reduction steps. First, a study of the geometry and physical phenomena involved in the behaviour of the components is carried out with the help of full-wave simulators. Second, the formulation of the problem is written following a partial equivalent electric circuit (PEEC) procedure. Third, the numerical model is based on a simple adaptive mesh. Advantages of this approach are a fast generation of the system matrix and computation of the model with a good accuracy.
