Abstract :
Summary form only given. The preparation of copper phthlocyanine sheet polymers was a ready studied by many authors at atmospheric pressure. We have tentatively prepared the copper phthlocyanine sheet polymer by the reaction(l) at high temperatures and pressures: 2 C/sub 10/H/sub 2/N/sub 4/(TCNB) + Cu /spl rarr/ [Cu(C/sub 20/H/sub 4/N/sub 8/)]/sub n/ (1). A wedge-type cubic-anvil high pressure apparatus was used in this experiment. The metal phthalocyanine polymers were synthesized by the reaction of stoichometric amounts of TCNB and metal powders at around 5 GPa under quasi-hydrostatic conditions. The reaction temperature were between 400 and 800/spl deg/C. The obtained polymers were characterized by elemental analysis, X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis. The resistivity of the copper phthalocyanine polymer prepared at 500/spl deg/C and 5 GPa was about 0.1 ohm cm. at room temperature.
