Abstract
The combination of the Huygens ABC with a large stretch of the FDTD mesh is a simple and very promising ABC method for the solution of wave-structure interaction problems, or more generally for problems where both traveling and evanescent waves are present. The reduction of the computational requirements is of the same order as the one achieved with the PML ABC.
