Abstract :
In this study, we used the generalized estimating equation (GEE) method to examine the relationship between terrain factors (height, slope and aspect) and NDVI in the western Liaoning, northeast China. Time-series data of NDVI derived from satellite images of the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) were used to show the growing curve of corn field and the impact of terrain factors. The study examined the seasonal impact of terrain factors on the time-series data of NDVI in western Liaoning, north- eastern China. A rich dataset based on a relatively large sample comprised of slope data, aspect data and NDVI data of corn field. The analyzed results indicate that aspect is associated with a significant increase in the growing season of corn field. Moreover, NDVI is also increasing with slope.
