Abstract :
A method of the stiffness and damping control is considered applied to the pneumatic controlled vibration protecting system. The control mechanism aboard contains a set of mother elastic elements with variable negative stiffness. In the steady-state motion, the system becomes fairly non-resonant including infra bandwidth via minimizing of its stiffness. In a transient, the system can be impact-free via internal damping control. The method has been verified through experiments subject to vibration protection of a driver.
