Connectors-the search for perfection

Despite all the years of experience, all the many designs and all the drives for quality the humble connector at the ´low tech´ end of the spectrum is still poorly regarded. The ´search for perfection´ (or even near perfection) is a challenge yet to be fulfilled. The challenge grows as more electrical features are added-a top range vehicle may now need up to 2000 wires to be joined together. The author gives possible reasons.<>
