Abstract
A range alignment method based on optimized weighted fitting (Optimized Weighted Fitting, OWF) is proposed for inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging. The range migration of the echo envelopes are modelled as a polynomial, and the coefficients of the polynomial are evaluated by optimized weighted fitting. Besides, in order to eliminate the jump errors, a cleaning operation is also proposed. Finally, simulation experiments are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed OWF based method.
