Abstract
It is very important to prolong network´s lifetime and increase reliability in USN, This paper proposes the redundancy design for USN based on reliability theory. It takes vertically moving leash of USN sensors and renovating periods leash into account by studying the redundant share scheme and redundant un-share scheme. And the reliability model of those two redundancy scheme is proposed. The simulation results of a typical case show that redundancy scheme can prolong the network´s lifetime remarkably. A conclusion can be drawn that redundant un-share scheme need more redundant sensors than redundancy un-share scheme, and redundancy share scheme need fewer redundancy sensors and could achieve the effect of prolonging network´s lifetime and increasing reliability.
