Abstract
With the development of technology, HPC has become a sign of the integrated power of a country. This paper give a survey of HPC development and point out the development direction. Besides, this paper gives a brief introduction to PVP, SMP, MPP, computer cluster, grid computing and cloud computing, and give a brief contrast to common ways to implement HPC.
