  • Abstract
    Electro Mechanical MCB has been introduced in power system since 1910 for protection against short circuit and over current faults. In the present scenario a good number of areas have been explored on intelligent circuit breakers like fuzzy logic controller (FLC) based VCB, SF6, and LV DC Breaker and so on. The aforesaid breakers are very much effective for single load protection scheme but are not that much reliable in case of distributed load system. In this paper a new controller for short circuit fault as well as low voltage protection schemes using FLC have been discussed. Here, Fuzzy Logic Rule viewer based controller for MCB has been developed in MATLAB environment. The said controller is basically designed with priority based four number of ports. Experimental output data validates the implementation of FLC based MCB in distributed load control system.
