Abstract
This paper investigates specific propagation feature under outdoor/indoor interface environments, by analyzing diffraction problem for finite number of material filled slits in an infinitely long PEC screen. The slits array is considered as a simplified indoor/outdoor interface model, i.e. glass windows with PEC frames. Here, the Kobayashi Potential (KP) method, which is a rigorous eigen-function expansion in terms of Weber-Schafheitlin´s integrals with discontinuous features, is utilized in the analysis. Influence of the existence of the PEC frame surrounding the window glass, i.e. the multiple scattering between the adjacent slits on the propagation feature is investigated for both E and H polarization cases. Time harmonic factor e~lωt is assumed and suppressed throughout the context.
