Abstract
In recent years the industry has been experiencing rapidly increasing demands for reduced product development time and improved product quality, particularly in relation to the production of complex components. This trend has resulted in the need to perform accurate and rapid dimensional measurements on complex shapes and to integrate inspection with the design and manufacturing processes. This paper presents the main results of the research performed at Imperial College under BRITE 2415 project. The work is embodied in the development of TrueForm, a software package, for integration of modelling and inspection of complex components
