Abstract :
A rectangular monopole antenna fed by 50 ohm microstrip line was presented in this paper. With an overall adjustment of the geometrical parameters, the proposed antenna was successfully designed to operate at 2.45 GHz frequency band for on-body communications and have a corresponding bandwidth of 32.1% respectively. The final measured result shows satisfactory performance and good agreement with the simulated result. The antenna has small physical size and can be easily integrated in wearable devices.
