Abstract :
Medical image processing is used to improve the accuracy and efficiency of radiotherapy treatment planning, but the noise and low contrast produce difficulties for image processing. This paper presents a method using radial searching for contour detection. Implementation of the noise suppression method improves the quality of the computed tomography image and the rule-based filtering smoothes the contour of the organ detected.
