Abstract :
An all-optical tunable filter was fabricated by acoustically induced microbending modulation in thin optical fibers. A brief theoretical discussion on the behavior of coupling core mode and higher order cladding modes and their dependence on acoustically induced long period grating (LPG) was considered to get the desired design. The theoretical design agrees well with the experimental results.
