Summary form only given, as follows. Yevgeny Ivanovich Nefyodov was born on August 19, 1932, in Taganrog. In 1956 he graduated from the Higher Engineering Academy for Communications (Leningrad), and in 1964 completed his post-graduate studies at the Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1965 he successfully defended his PhD thesis and in 1976 - his doctoral thesis. In 1956-1957 Yevgeny Nefyodov served in the Soviet Armed Forces, following which he lectured at the Taganrog Radio Engineering Institute (1957-1961). Since 1962 he has been working at the Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Professor Nefyodov is a leading expert in the field of microwave electrodynamics. He has written more than 20 monographs, most of which were published by Nauka Publishing House between 1969 and 1990, and more than 200 research papers. Professor Nefyodov is a founder of a new scientific school: 3D microwave ICs. He has trained a whole galaxy of talented disciples. During the Soviet era Professor Nefyodov managed a large number of scientific and technical conferences and practical workshops in many areas of the USSR, including Zaporizhzhia, Sevastopol, Moscow, Suzdal, Tbilisi, Alma-Ata, Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Taganrog, Samara, etc. Professor Nefyodov was one of CriMiCo´s founding fathers, sponsors and served on the Program Committee of CriMiCo between 1991 and 1994.
