Abstract :
Presents the results of an investigation carried out to develop microstrip body-mounted antennas designed to have an omnidirectional radiation pattern in azimuth, at a frequency within the 100-440 MHz range. Among the body-mounted antennas tested were a single rectangular patch microstrip antenna, an array of two rectangular patch antennas and a novel, helmet-mounted travelling-wave microstrip antenna
