Abstract
A memory architecture is proposed that is functionally similar to that of human memory is proposed. Before this model was implemented in a VLSI design, a series of psychophysical experiments specifically designed to test it were conducted. The results of one of these experiments, in which the recall of associated visual patterns and auditory tone bursts were measured, are summarized
