Abstract
The design of a neural net that reasonably simulates the time-dependent behavior of a synaptic connection on which learning can be based is outlined. The results for the three-layer network show that the output frequency of this network can be controlled not only by the amplitude, but also by the frequency and the phase dependence of the signal. This should prove useful in modeling rhythmic and other time-dependent neural net properties
