Abstract :
In the continued study of traditional and non-traditional types of lightning protection devices, an approach is developed to analyze the emission current due to space charge development at switching impulse voltage. Components of the SPICE model, the generator, dissipater, and air gap, allow for simulation of the emission current. The SPICE models, simulation results, and comparison of simulated emission current and measured results are presented
