Abstract
Cooling effect of fine water mist (FWM) is evaluated using acoustic computer tomography (CT) system developed for temperature distribution measurement. FWM cooling is now attractive because of its low energy consumption to compare with conventional method such as air conditioner using latent heat of cooling media. Only water and nozzle enable to cooling effect, but it is very difficult to evaluate such effect because non-contact temperature distribution measurement is required. On the other hand, we developed acoustic CT system for both 2-D temperature distribution and wind vector measurement. In this report, examples of measurement results are shown and the phenomenon is interpreted.
