Abstract :
Properties of the wall impedance of a storage ring are studied for a low relativism, γ-1⩽1. Both broad and narrow band impedances are shown to be damped at low energies, the damping factors are found. Coherent motion of a coasting beam is discussed; Landau decrements are calculated
