Abstract
In order to improve measurement precision and sensitivity of the stress sensor, we designed a new kind of differential magnetoelastic stress sensor with five magnetic poles. First we introduced the structure, the size parameter and the choice of the magnetic core material, of sensor, then analyzed its the work principle. Finally, we made an actually measure, and the test result indicated that the actual torques tested by using the differential magnetoelastic stress sensor with the result of calculation is consistent. Compared with other magnetoelastic stress sensors, this sensor have some characteristic, such as simple structure, easier to manufacture, more precise and sensitive. These characteristics can satisfy the request of engineering application.
